Mount Guiting-Guiting, Sibuyan Island

Also known as ‘G2,’ this mountain is one of the most difficult to climb in the Philippines. Mount Guiting-Guiting is the highest mountain in Sibuyan Island in the province of Romblon, with an elevation of 2,058 meters above sea level. The name Guiting-Guiting originates from the Romblomanon word for jagged, due to the mountain’s sharp ridges. The mountain is also abundant with thick forests and is a haven for numerous endemic flora and fauna.
