Come to Quirino and learn why the province is called the Forest Heartland of Cagayan Valley.
Crystal-clear waters, charming hills, fascinating caves, and refreshing forests abound in gorgeously rugged terrain.
Go on thrilling adventures and witness sights that will undoubtedly delight!
Governor’s Rapid
Adventure tourists are a perfect fit for the Governor’s Rapids in Maddela, an outdoor attraction in Quirino province famous for gigantic perpendicular limestone walls jutting out from one side of the Cagayan River, framing the Sierra Madre Mountain.
The river’s blue waters, which stand in dramatic contrast to the towering perpendicular limestone walls that line its banks, have made the site a popular spot for swimming and fishing. Its swift, turbulent currents, on the other hand, have made it a perfect venue for kayaking and whitewater rafting. Tourists who want to relax simply take a leisurely boat ride on the river.
Fossilized Flower Village
Immerse yourself in Saguday’s most unique and iconic handicrafts: simple leaves transformed into vibrant fossilized flowers. Looking like dried flowers at first glance, these intricately crafted souvenirs are actually fashioned from the leaves of the ‘alibangbang’ plant, which are naturally butterfly-shaped. The word alibangbang, in fact, means butterfly. The leaves are dried, bleached, and dyed in various vibrant colors.
In the fossilized flower village in Barangay Gamis, tourists can experience the artistry behind these famous fossilized flowers and try crafting their own from simple leaves turned into beautiful blooms.
Ganano Falls
Witness the torrents of water cascading from a height of 80 meters down onto a unique chair-shaped stone formation. The journey to Ganano Falls involves an invigorating hike across rivers and streams, rewarding visitors with the stunning sight of crystal waters and plenty of nature activities.
Bask in the serene ambiance of nearby woodlands or explore the diversity of species in the fish sanctuary before heading out to see the rest of Baguio Village, where more treasures await.
