What to do?

Twin Linungao Islands

This magnificent sight can be found in Barangay Bongtud, Tandag City. The name Twin Islands comes from the distinct feature of two parallel islands that appear like a gate at the entrance of a small bay in Tandag. Locals say these islands have been present for millions of years, shielding Tandag against typhoons and tsunamis. Additionally, they served as strategic vantage points during the Spanish era, where cannons were fired to defend against local rebels and Moro raiders. Beyond their breathtaking beauty and protective function, the Twin Islands also hold a significant historical value, bearing witness to the area’s colorful past dating back to precolonial times.

At the Twin Islands of Linungao, you can spend the day sunbathing on pristine shores, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, enjoying monkey and birdwatching amidst lush tropical scenery, and experiencing the thrill of skimboarding along its stunning coastline.

Mancagangi Island

In the northeast of Tandag City is this expansive limestone formation serving as a haven for bats and wildlife. It is accessible by a 45-minute boat cruise that treats visitors to picturesque ocean views and the thrill of rushing waves.

With its pristine white-sand beach, sparkling waters, and vibrant corals, it is a paradise for nature enthusiasts, especially to those who enjoy swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, and wildlife watching.

Vicente L. Pimentel, Sr. Boulevard

Located in Tandag, Vicente L. Pimentel, Sr. Boulevard stretches along the picturesque shores of Barangay Bag-ong Lungsod, running 8,250 square meters. Known for its vibrant and colorful lampposts, this boulevard is a favorite spot for both locals and visitors seeking to indulge in authentic Tandaganon culinary delights.

During weekend nights, the atmosphere comes alive with AtoTianggePanggabii, a night market offering an array of local produce and captivating films. Additionally, the boulevard is home to the Tandag City Tourist Assistance Center for tourist services and local goods.
